The Management Company (“SLG Management Services, LLC”) strengths include the expertise of its leadership team and its close relationships with its core customers and employees. The SLG Management Services leadership team takes great care in managing over 500 employees throughout Arendale investments and its affiliates.


Hugh Connerty, Chief Executive Officer

Hugh Connerty
Prior to joining Arendale and its affiliates in 2002, Hugh completed a successful twenty-five year career in the restaurant industry. Hugh is the founder of Longhorn Steakhouse and Hooters of America restaurants.

Hugh was also the original franchisee of the Outback Steakhouse Company. From 1995 to 2002, he was the CEO and General Partner of Outback Steakhouse International developing the Outback brand in 23 countries. Hugh served in the United States Army for six and half years earning the rank of Captain before changing careers.

For twelve years, Hugh has served on the President's Council of the Betty Ford Center. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University.

John Kunkel, Chief Financial Officer

John Kunkel
Prior to joining Arendale and its affiliates in 2001, John enjoyed fifteen years of service with Pulte Home Corporation, one of the largest national homebuilders. While at Pulte, John held various financial positions including CFO for the Florida Region. John's extensive knowledge in all facets of the residential real estate business and project financing has proven to be an invaluable asset for the company. Aside from a pure financial role, he works closely with Arendale’s partners in deal structuring and business planning.

John is a CPA licensed in Texas and has practiced public accounting with KPMG in Houston, Texas prior to his employment at Pulte. John graduated from Texas A&M University with honors and is happily married with two children.

Davis Sezna, Hospitality Division Chief Executive Officer

Davis Sezna
Davis Sezna is the Chief Executive Officer of Cliffs Club Partners. He was founder and chief executive officer of 1492 Hospitality Group and Tandem Hospitality, which consisted of more than 30 restaurant concepts and 12 golf courses, and consulted with over 100 private clubs and resorts.

Prior to joining The Cliffs, Davis worked with Pyramid Hotel Group LLC as president of La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West where he was responsible for master planning and asset management for Pyramid and Morgan Stanley for eight iconic resorts. He attended and played golf for The University of Georgia and is a past winner of the Delaware State Junior Golf Championship and the Delaware Open. Davis serves on a national golf committee for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He and his wife Barb share four children.

William G. Slagle (Wil), Senior Vice President

William G. Slagle (Wil)
Wil joined Arendale with extensive capital markets and real estate investment experience. Prior to this, Wil was the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NHB Holdings, Inc., a Federal Reserve regulated bank holding company, and the founder and Director of Proficio Bank, a FDIC insured commercial bank. Earlier in his career, Wil was in the private equity and hedge fund industry.

Wil received a B.A. in Economics, Finance and Banking from the University of North Florida and has completed management and executive programs at Tufts and Harvard. Wil also holds real estate investment affiliations through Landology. Wil is actively involved in humanitarian and civic efforts and presently serves as a Board Trustee for CardioStart International, and served as a member of the Jacksonville Super Bowl XXXIX Host Committee and the Chairman of The Jacksonville Urban League Foundation.

John Moore, Controller

John Moore
Prior to joining Arendale and its affiliates in 2003, John spent five years in the capacity of Senior Manager of Financial Reporting with Regency Centers. A publicly traded REIT, Regency Centers is one of the largest owners, operators, and developers of grocery anchored neighborhood shopping centers in the country. While at Regency, John was responsible for S.E.C. reporting, as well as the consolidated financial reporting for the parent company and 260 shopping centers.

Prior to his work in the real estate industry, John spent a combined eight years serving as controller for two of the larger franchisee operations of Hooters and Outback Steakhouse restaurant chains.

John is a CPA licensed in the state of Alabama and practiced public accounting for five years with various regional firms in the state upon his graduation from Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting.

J. Taylor Bush, Vice President

J. Taylor Bush
Taylor has been with Arendale and its affiliates for over 30 years. He is responsible for asset acquisition, strategic financial modeling, horizontal development, vertical construction and property disposition. He has extensive experience in large scale community planning, design and development. He has held senior positions with responsibility for the sales, marketing and management of real estate, resort and country club operations.

Taylor holds a bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Southern University. He has served on the boards of the Northeast Florida Builders Association, Association of General Contractors and Young Life.

Sally Larkin Hall, Vice President

Sally Larkin Hall
Sally joined Arendale and its affiliates in 1979 with a background in real estate banking. She has worked for the company in a variety of capacities overseeing many aspects of residential and commercial design, construction, and operations including owning and operating a custom home building company. She also has an in-depth background in managing golf and country club communities. Her project management skills and wide range of experience are valuable assets to the Arendale portfolio of projects.

Sally is an active member and donor in numerous organizations dedicated to the arts and development of women in business, and a founding member of the Women's Giving Alliance.

Robert Wright, Vice President

Robert Wright
Robert joined Arendale and its affiliates in February, 2003 and has extensive experience in the acquisition and development of both residential and commercial properties. Prior to joining Arendale, Robert worked with Young Life and was responsible for the acquisition, capitalization, and development of Young Life’s premier properties throughout the Southeast. He also has broad experience in all aspects of operations and hospitality management.

Robert is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina and handles the surrounding North and South Carolina markets.

Andrew Ward, Managing Director

Andrew Ward
Andrew joined the Currahee Club team shortly after the acquisition and then permanently on January 1, 2012, after over 12 successful years as CEO at a Golf and Real Estate Development on Lake Oconee in Georgia. For the past 30 years his career has spanned over five countries in the International Hotel and Resort Industry, but it is his keen knowledge on ground up real estate development and customer service that has become his key focus at Currahee.

Andrew, a native Englishman now on dual citizenship, has three children (Ben, Charlotte and Harry) and has been married to his wife Jayne for 30 years.
